In my hometown, we have an annual car show in the summer. I grew up in a town where the car and motorcycle culture were huge in a small town. Hollister is a small town that I grew up in that is 45 minutes north of Monterey Bay. Yesterday morning, I woke up after a night of drinking with 2 of my great friends, and I was scrolling through my feed on Facebook, and I remembered that this was happening that day. So, I showered up, shaved and put the pomade in my hair, and took a stroll downtown. When I go shows like this, I feel like I was born at the wrong time. It felt like a simpler time to live in. Work one job, buy a home, and raise a family, which is something we all want in life. Seeing all these cars on the street, it feels like the opening of a time capsule. The history behind the cars is what mostly intrigues me. It was a good morning stroll downtown, and I got some shots of the cars while on my walk. The festival had local food vendors, live music, and a raffle. Good place to spend part of a Saturday to get out and get some fresh air, unplug from the media, and see some sick rides.
